Word from Matt

My name is Matt Corder and I am one of the worship leaders at Restoration Church in Saint Joseph, MO. I’d like to take just a moment to tell you about an exciting opportunity our worship team has and how you can be a part of it!

Before I get to that though, let me give you a little backstory. At the beginning of this year, our worship team had the opportunity to go down to KC for a night of worship put on by a group of musicians associated with Bethel Church based out of California. Bethel has been releasing worship music for some time now and we do quite a few of their songs at our church as well. That night had a deep impact on all of us, but one thing we all felt strongly when we got home was that we would begin to write our own worship songs. I’ve been a part of this team for 7 years and we’d never done anything like that before.

I honestly wasn’t even sure what that was going to look like, but sure enough, it wasn’t a few weeks later that songs begin to take shape. So over the past 9 months we’ve been writing and leading a number ofour own songs to our congregation at church. It’s been so cool to see how God has used these songs to really speak to people where they’re at and impact their lives! I also can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked if we had a recording that someone could have throughout the week to listen to. And so over the last two months, we as a team have begun to feel that recording these songs is the next step. God birthed these songs for our local church family, but we have a sense that they will be used to bless others in our city and beyond!

God lead us to a producer in KC who is also a worship leader connected to IHOP, and he is very excited to help us make this dream a reality but right now we need to raise some funds to get this off the ground. And this is where you can help us make this happen… We are starting a crowdsourcing campaign with a target goal to raise 6 thousand dollars over the next 30 days. The going rate is about a thousand dollars persong start to finish. Every dollar raised will go towards helping our team record, mix and master 6 songs. If we raise more than the target goal, than that just means we will be able to record more songs. But either way, our goal is to at least start with of 6 songs.
